rkuhnel (1192), Eureka, California, USA Apr 22, 2008 From a 12 oz bottle that cost $1.39 at Corti Bros in Sacramento, this poured a nice amber with a nice off-white head and excellent lacing. Nose of caramel malts and light floral hops, medium mouthfeel, and flavor that was slightly sweet, and overall it was very easy to drink.

Standard pale ale malts show minimal sweetness and only a touch of caramel flavor, which definitely isn’t the norm in amber ales. Hops are prominently featured from start to finish, offering crisp, moderate bitterness and an earthy, piney flavor. In the nose, again, it’s malty without smelling sweet or caramely, and hops are fresh and earthy. Medium in weight from start to finish, and the hoppy flavor and bitterness contribute crispness on the palate for excellent drinkability. The beer is amber in color and only slightly hazy. An inch of fluffy, off-white head settles to a thin, complete layer. Dense, large patches of lace stick to the glass. brianprentiss (415), Mountain View, California, USA Jul 6, 2008 not a great beer, nothing to really taste and it’s a bit foul.

Super, super sweet offering with a caramel bottom and a tinny, appley finish. (#3414, 4/11/2008) Ramenen (351), San Salvador, El Salvador Apr 9, 2008 Drank it at the Firkin Festival in Triple Rock. Pours an amber color. However, it was very watery. The malts were lost...
