DTM (329), Winters, California, USA Apr 3, 2008 On tap at The Grad in Davis, CA. Pours a golden color with a medium sized head. Smells of floral and malt. Sweet malty flavor with just a little bit of hops mixed in. Just as others have said it has a dry finish.
rkuhnel (980), Eureka, California, USA May 11, 2008 From a 12 oz bottle purchased at Corti Bros in Sacramento, CA this poured a clear gold with moderate white head and good lacing. Mose of caramel malts and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor of malts and floral hops again, and a nice bitter finish. Nice brew. Gypsy19 (163), AMERICA RISING, USA May 6, 2008 There’s something way different about this beer than I’ve ever tasted. It’s got almost a "foody" spicy flavor to it. I mean, it tastes like food. Like gravy or something, or like the kind of powder that goes into ground beef for cheap tacos. Other than that, it’s quite boring. Yeah, this totally lights up taste buds that would be utilized more in eating than drinking beer. It doesn’t work for me. Acceptable, drinkable, but not good, especially considering the price. mjg74 (1728), La Mesa, California, USA Jan 24, 2008 Bottle from BevMo online. Medium golden in color upon pouring. Sweet aroma with a little tartness. Maybe a hint of yeast. Dry hoppy character with a bisquity malty flavor. Good and crisp. A hint of yeast and fruity sweetness. elelwarren (130), SF Bay area, California, USA Jan 13, 2008 A quiet, drinkable beer, ordered by my wife. On draft. Lemon colored, with small head. Soft aroma of apple compote. Flavor is dry, with a touch of guava & mild nuttiness. Abrupt ending, with little hops touch. More hops would make this a very good beer. Slight ammonia hints in later sips. Quite drinkable (a touch watery), if that’s what you’re after.
