On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of rye, oak, bourbon, carmel, fruittiness and light spice. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, oak, vanilla, toffee, light earthiness and light bourbon with a crisp dry lingering oak finish.

Pours a reddish brown color. Bit like wood with some grapes? Interesting. Some hops and raisins.

Red brown color thin offwhite head. Fruity grapes with sugar aroma. Quiye hoppy, vety sweet with fruit. Mayne a little too much like fruit juice. Good smoothness.

Half-pint @ Chuck’s. Decent enough barley wine that didn’t overpower in any of the traditional barley wine categories. Not too sweet but not too complex either. Not sure where Chuck got this (perhaps leftover from Hard Liver?)

On tap for Hard Liver ’12, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small tan head. Aroma of dried fruits (apricots), hay and apple juice. Flavour is dry, with apple juice, wheat, bread, dried fruits and a slight sourness. Dry but sort of stale - not impressed.
