Draft, This IPA is very different, not your everyday California IPA. This one actually has some malt flavor. A very English IPA. Great w/a burger. I hear bottle are coming soon!

At NorCal Brewers Guild Festival at Raley Field. Light floral aroma. Clear coppery amber color with a white head (no lacing). Thinnish mouthfeel. Malt is balanced by floral hop. It’s not all that bitter. A bit English. Maybe a lot English. Nice finish flavor.

Tasted at the 9th Annual Bistro IPA Festival (2006). This IPA pours a light gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruity and floral. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. More in the English style of an IPA. Mild bitterness. Smooth tasting. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Cask. This is a strange one. It starts out very sweet with grapefruit bitterness, but it starts to change halfway through to a more balanced beer. There is still a sweetness with a nice hop bitterness, but there's also a slight grassy/earthy taste to it that wasn't pleasant or even over unpleasant. It was also very carbonated for a cask beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nik925 (639) - California, USA - FEB 26, 2009
Crisp. Hints of lemon, but not that citrus-y. very sharp metallic cutting through everything. Disappointing, not that great.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 ChillCoat (1030) - Concord, California, USA - JUL 28, 2005
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2006 On Tap @ Ben and Nick’s. Pours a very light yellow, the color I’d imagine Bud to be (if I knew what it looked like). I understand this is an English style IPA but I found very little (read: None) hop character to it. It’s very clean and drinkable but only slightly malty and not enough hops for me.

Tap @ The Bistro’s IPA Festival 8/6/05. Light golden color with a diminished white head. A light fruit (pear) aroma with a clean flavor and mild hops.

GABF05: Clear and light gold. Light body; not necessarily watery, but thin. Sadly, the grainy, husky malts seemed to be more noticeable than the hop profile ... which was rather weak, obviously. Even after a couple large-pour samples, I couldn’t get much out of this beer. No offensive off-flavors really, just not a lot of charisma to speak of.
