GABF05: Clear and light gold. Light body; not necessarily watery, but thin. Sadly, the grainy, husky malts seemed to be more noticeable than the hop profile ... which was rather weak, obviously. Even after a couple large-pour samples, I couldn’t get much out of this beer. No offensive off-flavors really, just not a lot of charisma to speak of.

Crisp. Hints of lemon, but not that citrus-y. very sharp metallic cutting through everything. Disappointing, not that great.

Draft, This IPA is very different, not your everyday California IPA. This one actually has some malt flavor. A very English IPA. Great w/a burger. I hear bottle are coming soon!

12 ounce sample at the Squaw Valley Brews, Blues, and Funk Festival. Grainy and lightly funked out aroma. Almost smells like there is a little sour Brett going on. I also get a dash of lemony citrus aromas. Moderately hazy orange-honey colored body with a small light yellow head. Sweet, fruity, citrus weird apricot/orange/pear-like flavors to start. Lightly grainy malty middle. Becomes a bit sour and astringent later on. This is way off. Definitely not reminscent of an IPA.

At NorCal Brewers Guild Festival at Raley Field. Light floral aroma. Clear coppery amber color with a white head (no lacing). Thinnish mouthfeel. Malt is balanced by floral hop. It’s not all that bitter. A bit English. Maybe a lot English. Nice finish flavor.

On draught at HopYard. Poured a dense dark gold color with a slight head. Medium-bodied with a big hoppy flavor and medium bitterness. A full mouthfeel. Slight citrus character matched to an underlying pale malt flavor. The hops were more noticable than the malt or alcohol. Maybe a "pale" IPA.

Tap @ The Bistro’s IPA Festival 8/6/05. Light golden color with a diminished white head. A light fruit (pear) aroma with a clean flavor and mild hops.

Tasted at the 9th Annual Bistro IPA Festival (2006). This IPA pours a light gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruity and floral. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. More in the English style of an IPA. Mild bitterness. Smooth tasting. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
