What compels a journey- Beyond the realm of possibilities? Peak XV- The Earth’s highest mountain- Was first measured in 1856, then renamed Mt. Everest nine years later. In 20 years the ascent was proposed, but it would be another 68 years (and several unsuccessful attempts later) before the summit was finally reached. In admiration of the human spirit and the courage required to accomplish this supreme feat, we offer this dark towering brew. Subtle undertones of vanilla are brought forth using multiple sources of whole vanilla beans, followed by a stupendous nose of dark chocolate - Provided by locally sourced cacao nibs. The flavor is massive chocolate, creamy vanilla, toasty and malty. The finish is epic.

Bomber poured into a pint glass dark brown with thin mocha head, barely any lacing. The aroma is of pure vanilla bean and dark chocolate, dark fruit and cocoa. The flavors are more of the same in a rich delicious blend. Would recommend this one to friends!

Nice big porter. Vanilla dominates and almost gives it a weird coconut aroma. Plenty of chocolate. A mild bitterness. Solid.

Bottle, shared at game night. Very dark brown, copper highlights. Sweet cocoa and vanilla, quite full bodied, sweet with a moderately bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle poured and split. Pours a near black with a tan ring head. Big vanilla bean aroma. Rich malt, cinnamon, chocolate, and vanilla. Like German chocolate cake. A little coconut. Tasty porter for sure.

The rich vanilla definitely makes this nice, though there are faults in the base beer. Still easily the best black diamond I’ve ever had. Medium bodied, a touch of something astringent in the nose and flavor. Subtle for sure, but still a slight distraction. Otherwise dark roast and vanilla dominates both. Pleasant enough, but a one timer.

Bottle. The pour is black. The aroma is chocolate and malt. The taste seems a little off, a slight funk to it. Almost a coconut finish to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber shared pours a dark brown to almost black with mocha head. The aroma is amazingly delicious plenty of pure vanilla bean and large amounts of dark chocolate. The flavors are more of the Same in a rich delicious blend. I find no wrong in this beer unless you don’t like vanilla and chocolate. The malts are well roasted.
