COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What compels a journey- Beyond the realm of possibilities? Peak XV- The Earth’s highest mountain- Was first measured in 1856, then renamed Mt. Everest nine years later. In 20 years the ascent was proposed, but it would be another 68 years (and several unsuccessful attempts later) before the summit was finally reached. In admiration of the human spirit and the courage required to accomplish this supreme feat, we offer this dark towering brew. Subtle undertones of vanilla are brought forth using multiple sources of whole vanilla beans, followed by a stupendous nose of dark chocolate - Provided by locally sourced cacao nibs. The flavor is massive chocolate, creamy vanilla, toasty and malty. The finish is epic.

Tap: blackish pour with medium-sized tan head. Aroma is malty with roast grain and a little charred wood. Flavor is thick malt with some chocolate and vanilla notes, coffee, salt and roasted grain. Fairly sweet with just traces of a grain bitterness. Tasty beer with nice flavor for easy sipping with spicy wings.

Bottle; Color: Chocolate brown. Aroma: Sweet cocoa/malt/sugar. Flavor: Rich and thick with pretty impressive complexity. Tastes of dark chocolate thick and rich enough to satisfy any chocolate lovers palate. Vanilla is also tasted on a smaller scale, but absolutely delicous.

Appearance: silky dark brown, with a short light tan head. Aroma: chocolate, vanilla, cream, and espresso. Taste: bitter dark chocolate, pudding, condensed milk, vanilla, hint of roast coffee. Finish: smooth, creamy, slightly dry, with a lingering sweet chocolatey character. Notes: Slightly above average imperial porter. Nothing off or bad, but it just wasn’t awesome.

22oz bottle, black pour with small tan head. Weak nose of chocolate and malt. Some chocolate flavor, but I can’t stop noticing the background of vegetable infection, which follows it into the finish. Didn’t impress me.

Pours a thin looking brown with a small tan head that disappears quickly. The nose is cocoa, cream and metal (yeah I know its what I smell). Taste is vanilla, chocolate, cola, and black cherries. The body is heavier than it looks though it has slight medicinal tingle factor that is present. Overall this is a slightly above average Imp. Porter. It suffers in the appearance and flavor departments with strange characteristics that I attempted to quantify. I wouldn’t pass this up if it were opened at a tasting, but I wouldn’t seek it out if there were other options.

This beer is a dark brown color with some amber around the edges and a medium tan head that diminishes slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, vanilla and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a roasted malt and vanilla coffee character. Touches of chocolate as well. The finish is sweet with a vanilla cocoa aftertaste. Above average overall.

Dark brown color, with a thick but low, tan head that does not stay around long. Aroma is relatively mild, but nice, consisting roasted malt and chocolate notes. Flavor is somewhat subdued, though good, with roasted malt and cocoa. There is just enough complexity in this to keep in interesting to the end. Finishes with the flavors hanging on and a nice amount of bitterness. It is enjoyable, but maybe a bit on the mild side. Very easy to drink this one, however.
