Tasting at Papsø’s
Dark brown color, close to black, with small head, no retention. Aroma of cheap vanilla and cheap coffee, pond water. The body is weaker than expected, the mouthfeel is semi-dry; it has a strong flavor of dark chocolate and roasted malts, with some alcohol booziness; some liquorice too; moderate sweetness in the final.
Chaotic; too easy to brew something like this, just a lot of ingredients.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Elwood. Pours a clear orangey brown with a small beige head. Sweet roasty nose. Medium body, sweet roast with the vanilla really shining through - gets a little cloying perhaps. Some sweet licorice as well. Roasty finish with some late alcohol. 160612

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of vanilla, cocoa nibs, booze, some almond extract and paint thinner. Flavour of vanilla upfront, cocoa nibs, sweet liqueur and ends very, very boozy. Thin-bodied, but rich in flavour. Very nice.

Opaque black. Bourbon and mocha nose. Full bodied and thick on the palate with a rich dose of dark chocolate. Good carbonation keeps this in balance. Creamy texture.

Bottle from beerboxer. Has a nice sweet malty taste. Dark chocolate flavor. Would of thought it was a stout.
