What compels a journey- Beyond the realm of possibilities? Peak XV- The Earth’s highest mountain- Was first measured in 1856, then renamed Mt. Everest nine years later. In 20 years the ascent was proposed, but it would be another 68 years (and several unsuccessful attempts later) before the summit was finally reached. In admiration of the human spirit and the courage required to accomplish this supreme feat, we offer this dark towering brew. Subtle undertones of vanilla are brought forth using multiple sources of whole vanilla beans, followed by a stupendous nose of dark chocolate - Provided by locally sourced cacao nibs. The flavor is massive chocolate, creamy vanilla, toasty and malty. The finish is epic.

Very misleading. Great label and deScription, but when it comes down to drink ability this Imperial Stout falls short. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bomber thanks to boamr, thanks Ryan. Poured a thinner looking super dark brown with a smaller foamy beige head. Aroma of cheap sugary dry chocolate, raisin, prunes, rotting vanilla, just really sweet overall. Syrupy body with average carbonation and a lingering sweetness on the swallow. Flavor isn’t as sweet as the aroma, olive juice and cola soaked bread. Too sweet in the aroma and after taste.

22oz bottle, purchased somewhere in South Bay. Pours a deep cola-brown color; foamy, fine-bubbled medium-tan head; solid lacing. Plenty of milk and dark chocolate, cocoa, and plenty of cola along with some warming alcohol cutting through; for all that’s going on here, it seems a touch hollow. Medium to medium-high body; modest CO2; leads with warming vinous alcohol and cocoa, with layers of chocolate underneath; that ethanol note gets progressively more sharp. Lasting finish of cocoa, dark chocolate, and touches of vanilla; that vanilla contribution doesn’t really come through all that much for me with so much else going on.

Bomber. Poured clear, deeper garnet with a creamy tan head. The aroma picked up sweet cocoa and vanilla over moderately-roasted chocolates and a hit of honey.. more lovely cocoa and smoky notes on the back of the nose.. very good. The flavor found light-moderately-roasted and lightly-soured dark chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla notes throughout.. nice spicy kick over more vanilla and cocoa on the decadent finish.. tight-bubbled carbonation worked well in there.. tasty stuff! Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. there was a lot of sweetness, but it never became a problem.. I would gladly drink a lot of this.

Big tan foamy head. Lots of carbonation coating side of glass. Light cocoa aroma. Flavors of dark cocoa and brown sugars. Aftertaste of bittersweet cocoa powder. Average body, which is a bit thin for an imperial. Still, pretty good imho.
