COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Subtle undertones of vanilla are brought forth using multiple sources of whole vanilla beans, followed by a stupendous nose of dark chocolate - provided by locally sourced cacao nibs. The flavor is massive chocolate, creamy vanilla, toasty and malty. The finish is epic. 75% Ale, 25% Ale aged in Whiskey Barrels

Woodshed 2.0. Bottle share courtesy of Sparky. It pours with a mahogany looking body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet vanilla and sweet whiskey to go along with a malt sweetened dark roasted maltiness. The taste is all smooth and sweet whiskey that gets a touch harsh toward midway. I also get dark roasted malts and some chocolate brownie to help even out the boozy barrel notes. Nice sipper.

Nice dark brown pour with a light brown head. Flavors of booze, toasted oak, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt and maybe a light hint of coffee. A tad thin, boozy but tasty.

Bottle shared by Sparky @ Woodshed 2.0! Nice dark mahogany pour with a small latte head. Mocha, dark chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, oak, and a hint of whisky. Wish the whisky was a bit more prominent. Wish this one had a bit more body and was more assertive. Still tasty.

Bottle. Served in a snifter. Pours a deep coffee color with a slight head and significant sediment. The strong whisky aroma dominates, with undertones of tart apple. Surprisingly thin mouthfeel for such a big beer. Initially sweet with flavors of caramel and wood. Smooth, but thin, finish. An enjoyable beer, but I suspect this one is at its peak (pardon the pun) now, as I have difficulty believing it would grow in complexity with age.

22. Pours black with a loose tan head. Huge whiskey nose, lots of peaches and oak and vanilla along with chocolate and roast from the base beer. Creamy thick body, soft carb. Sweet peach and whiskey mid palate with some chocolate and roast, but mostly barrwe showing. Sweet finish.

Bomber from Windy City. Pours almost black in color. Nose is a little roasty with a little bit of wood and alcohol notes. Lightly sweet chocolate up front with noticeable woody character. Moderate whiskey flavors with a roasty finish. Good flavors, nice blend of roasted coffee, wood and whiskey. Body could be a little fuller, but still pretty good.
