COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A massive brew that is enormously aromatic with huge hop flavors wonderfully structured with a great malt body. The flavor comes on with huge notes of citrus, pine and resin which last into the crisp dry finish.

Pours orange with large white head and nice lacing. Big aroma of citrus and pine hops. Smooth taste for an imperial IPA. Strong hops, grapefruit, and nice malt for balance.

Bomber. Pours a golden Orange with lots of carbonation and boozy, citrusy and piney aromas. Flavor is heavy on the abv and adequate in the other departments.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 5/14/12

Aroma: It has a nice, big-time, west-coast style, citrus, grapefruit, pine hop aroma
Appearance: It pours an unclear orange color with a decent sized white head
Flavor: The flavor has some sweetness there to balance out the fairly large hop presence
Palate: The body is medium, it feels fairly creamy on the mouth, and ends up dry and tingly
Overall Impression: This one really depends on what you were looking for. If you wanted a unique beer with a ton of balance, this is probably not the beer you are looking for. HOWEVER, if you wanted a well-made big time, west coast style DIPA, then you are in for a treat. Personally, I love this style, and I thought they did quite a good job with it here.

Acquired in a trade. Stuck it in the fridge and then poured into a Hill Farmstead Glass.

A - SRM of 6-7. half a finger head quickly subsided to just a minor lacing of offwhite bubbles.

S - Big grapefruit and pine. Lots of fantastic hop resin. Hints of honey and grass.

T - Wow. Super sweetness. Like drinking syrup infused with hop oils. Really tasty. Nice pine and grass notes, more of the citrus bits. Just a small bit of cinnamon taste on the back of the tongue.

M - Nice and clean, super drinkable, 90/10 carbonation on the mouth swish. Wow.

O - This beer rocks. It’s no Pliny or Heady Topper but it’s great and one I’d LOVE to have again.

Clear gold, nice head. Aroma of earthy, resinous hops, pine, grapefruit. Taste is resinous bitter, some peppery hops. Pretty good stuff.

Massive DIPA. The nose is full of orange and tangerine aromatics. Full bodied with an oily texture. Hints of sweeter citrus fruit, but they give way to bitter hops quickly. Heavy beer.

Poured to a shaker from the bomber. Aroma is great nicely hoped. Slightly spicey aroma, but citrus flavor. Really good, one of the best I’ve had from black diamond. The alcohol is noticeable in the flavor, which I will accept for being imperial.
