Pours a clear rich amber color with white head. More hops in flavor. Earthy hops mellow caramel malt. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, resinous hop finish. This is an excellent Amber Ale. Hops are delicious balanced with a nice rich caramel malt.

Fair alcohol content makes it a good session beer and enjoyable amber. Better than many. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

4oz sample draft at RFD DC. Pours reddish-brown. Malty, earthy, metallic. Unpleasant.

The aroma is sweet and malty with caramel and toffee, there is also grassy hops. The appearance is amber with a small head. The taste is like the aroma but a bit too astringent. The palate is average. Overall an average beer that is just to bitter for the style.

Smell might be the best thing about this beer - reminds me of leaves decomposing in a mountain stream..... but its not nearly as "supple" (subtle?) as the lable would have you believe.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep tawny brown (Lovibond 20) with big time lace (no head). Aroma mildly sweet - earth, moss, greens. Initially sweet dark fruit tastes - changes to cardboard, metal, and earthy hops. Not unpleasant, just not balanced. Good palate, nice carbonation. Average beer. Slakes the thirst though!

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with a lacy, cream colored head. Aroma of caramel and pale malts, some floral hops, and hints of fruits. Flavor more interesting than many amber ales. Average texture. A decent beer for the style.

Deep murky reddish amber with a small sudsy white head that fades quickly. Bready caramel and toffee notes lead to oxidized malts and harsh bitterness. Medium body with ample carbonation. Biscuity sticky resinous finish with papery hints. Not a fan of this one.

Aroma: Toffee and nutty with slightly sweet Taste: Fruity and nutty amber ale, can definitely taste the plums and hazelnut as advertised Overall: Very interesting taste, would’ve never guessed hazelnuts and plums would be good together in an amber ale.

Bottled. Pours amber with a large off-white head. Good retention and lacing. Fruit and malt aroma. Light sweet caramel malty flavor with a hint of grassy hops. Medium body, soft carbonation, medium-thick texture, and a light bitter-sweet finish.
