Poured dark amber brown, brown sugar, malty,little dark fruit, little earthy.

On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a clouydy brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of carel, fruittiness and light brandy. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of toffee, carmel, light fruittiness and light brandsy with a crisp lingering toffee finish.

On tap at GABF. Pours with a hazy dark brown hue and a small off-white head. Aromas are very fruity, estery vinous and raisin with a bit of a dark candi sugar note. Flavors are estery, dark fruits, caramelization, brown sugar and raisins. A bit of apricot. Medium to low carbonation with some lingering alcohol.

Tap at Opening Gala SF beer week 2011. Pours a dark brown with a thinning head. Aroma is sweet, fruity yeasty notes, plum, figs, some pear- with light phenolic earthy kick. Flavor is big toast, big sweetness, yeasty nuttiness, caramel, honey, molasses, figs, dates, and a bit of alcohol in the end. Ok.

Bottle at the Triple Rock Sour & BA Fest. Pours dark brown with a decent beige head and a sour aroma. There is a sour malt flavor with an alcohol finish.

Enjoyed at the Triple Rock Sour & BA Fest. Pours dark ruddy brown with a tan smear for head. Full body. Flavor is lightly brown sugar. No heat. It’s very nice, but far from xxtreme. Does work well with a big pretzel.

Clear reddish brown with a fizzy head. Strong alcohol and caramel and nut aroma and taste with a sweet malty finish.

Draft. Rich dark amber beer with a cream colored head. light caramel and light yeast aroma. Caramel and light darker malt flavor with light yeast. Medium body. Caramel and light yeast lingers with light fruit and light darker malts.
