3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Craft & Co, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out stone fruits and light piney hops. Flavour brings out the same notes of piney hops and light restrained stone fruits. Light astringency on the finish. Standard but well-made no nonsense IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle. Murky red-brown body topped by a dense off-white head. Dark bread, cut grass, caramel, pine and flowers in the nose. Rich malty taste amped by by substantial bitter hops. Big mouth feel to match. Lingering bitter finish with a sweet, fruity aftertaste. Big English style IPA but surprisingly well balanced.

bottle from warners at the bay. dark amber, a bit darker than i like my ipa’s, plenty of sediment; some peanut brittle in the aroma, a bit on the stale side; decent bitterness, some woofy alcohol; messy but there’s some decent beer in there somewhere

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky deep amber pour with a big-bubbled pale brown head. It looks a bit rough (the head looks like an early homebrew attempt) but the smell makes up for it - big pineapple, apricot, oranges, resin, and nice malt underneath. Taste is big, malty start - more like an English IPA, but with good bitterness, tropical fruit, apricot, resin, a little bitter on the finish and fairly thick. Pretty bloody good, just a little too much carbonation for me

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pineapple leads the tropical element on nose. Biscuity and malty there is a grand finale with bitterness. A great old style version. 330ml, 6.2%, 1.6std drks.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle
Hazy, dark copper color. Massive light tan head. Just a tad bit over carbonated. OK, way over carbonated. Good lacing though.
Nose is mostly caramel. Big backbone and some stone fruit. Got some whifs of plastic at first but settled down into malt.
Very English taste. Biscuit and caramel malt. Lots of stone fruit. Peach and apricot. Lots of resin though. Oily as heck. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Initial carbonation aside, not too shabby an effort.

A big malty IPA with caramel and even a little chocolate combining with pine needles and grapefruit to produce a really smooth beer.

Surely a bit NQR? Miles off the commercial description. Old style with minerals and rust but not much by way of fresh hops and resin. Seems unduly restrained.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a red amber with a foamy off white head that doesn’t hold. Very low carbonation, even for an ipa. Almost flat. Strong citrus and piney aroma, with a big malt sweetness to follow. Taste is a well balanced caramel with citrus and stonefruit. Resinous bitterness to match the oily texture. A nice drop, but was very undercarbed
