3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at the brewery. My favorite beer of the sampler. It pours a light brown color with a khaki head. The aroma is light with syrup, red fruit and… cinnamon? The flavor has more cinnamon and a nice caramel, cocoa backbone. Balanced, bitter finish. Hops come through strong for a brown, but in a good way. (no citrus) Good beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the brewpub. Pours very dark brown with a creamy beige head. Roasty aroma. Med body or better. Flavor is roasty, lightly nutty, dry and perhaps floral hoppy (brewer say he used a selection of noble hops). Finishes dry, a little earthy/ashy and bitter. Very good brown - and I usually don’t enjoy browns. This one I definitely do.
