3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mkel07 (2340) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 8, 2013
330ml bottle from Warners at the Bay bottle shop. My first beer from Black Duck Brewery and it poured with a mountain of rocky beige foam that seemed to take forever to settle. Roasted malt and bitter dark chocolate in the aroma sets you up for what is to come in the flavour. Light in the mouth with good carbonation and smooth velvet mouthfeel.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a dark amber with a slight haze and a huge, frothy and very lively beige head that dissipates rather slowly. A subtle sweet roasty nose, caramellish too. Medium body, harder roast in the flavour, a little licorice too, and even a little late bitterness. Looks are deceiving in this one. 301112
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 CitrusP (48) - Newcastle, AUSTRALIA - OCT 3, 2012
Had this one a while back so the memory is a little hazy. Surprisingly enjoyable this one, solid buttery shortbread overtones in the aroma and taste. Complex for such a low ABV. Would be great to session.

Bottle thanks to Owen. Pours dark brown with a two finger off white head. Nice lacing. Nose is very coffee forward with some heavy chocolate biscuit behind it all. Very appealing. Taste is balanced mocha and biscuit. Almost shortbready with a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness to finish it off. Really enjoyed this one
