Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 26/09/2009 Hop aroma. Dark coloured rich and smooth on the palate. Malty with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp and pale finish.

Pours dark brown, nearly black with a thin, pretty quickly fading beige head. Aroma is light roast, sweet cereal grain, faint earthy and toasted bread notes. Flavor is caramel, bread crust, very light roast which gets washed out fairly quickly by a slightly over sweet malt that clings for a second or two and then relents to some dark caramel, toasty grain and lightly earthy/herbal notes toward the finish, a little more roast comes in near the finish as well. Palate is light bodied, slightly syrupy and sticky on the lips, it dries out a bit but remains a little syrupy. Pretty standard schwarz, maybe a little sweeter than most I have had.
