3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 GregClow (2665) - Toronto, - JUL 27, 2003
MIBG Fest: Orange-amber colour. Aroma of grapefruit & pine. Flavour opens very crisp and clean, with a moderately bitter finish. Not bad, but could definately use a bit more hoppiness to fit the style more closely.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Pailhead (3435) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - MAR 20, 2007
On tap: Citrus aroma with a nice hop presence. Transparent orangish-amber with a small white head. Okay lacing. Malty up front with some light peach in the background. Decent citrus hop finish. Would prefer the light peachiness to disappear. Decently balanced, but nothing phenominal.

On tap. Nice orange/amber color. Decent moderate lasting white head. Aroma is pine/grapefruit hops. Malt is balanced with hop fairly well. Perhaps just a bit of sharp hop flavor. Nice beer.

Poured a translucent orange/red color with a decent head. Sweet malt and hop aroma. Assertive bitterness held in check by big malt flavor, really nice balance. Lingering hop flavor. An excellent IPA.

Pours Golden-orangish with small white head. Very hoppy nose with smooth bitterness. Nice dry finish.

Nice hoppy, rich aroma. Deep gold, not much carbonation, off white head...smallish. Beautiful lace. A little too sweet and cloying. Not bad but not great.

I found this beer lacking in balance, much to light on the palate (low malt character) and way to light in hop finish. Not very good.

Piney, citric nose that also yielded plenty of caramel. Nice balance, but more like a "mild" ala "Pride & Joy". This was also the coldest beer served at the Michigan Summer Beer Festival by far! Nice malt middle with burst of grapefruity hops at the end.Yum!
