COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our summer beer is done in Germany's only appellation protected style, Kolsch. Kolsch is a very light beer on the palate, with a dry finish. Kolsch can technically only be brewed by one of twenty something German breweries in the city of Koln. In Koln, Kolsch is a way of life not just a beer. Our version is Americanised with a bit more alcohol and flavoring hops you would find in a traditional German version.

Tough to distinguish from the Pils in both taste and appearance. Quite hoppy and straw-colored. Perhaps a touch more full-bodied. By the time I got through my five-beer sampler platter and reached the Summer (it didn’t say whether it was an ale or lager), I was so tired of the video golf displays, "Fear Factor" on TV, gloomily dark interior and the unfriendly bar staff that I wanted to run screaming from this former Denny’s and never return. I tried to not let that sentiment bias my opinion of their beer.
