A reasonable kolsch for a a beergarten. Not the greatest beer in the world and had a mildly unpleasant aroma but it was probably the best beer in their sampler.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from the brewpub: Pours a slightly hazy golden with a firm white film. Dry biscuity and crackery aroma- very clean. Creamy firm light body. Very dry with a great craxkery solid malt base. Very clean and pils like. The finish is quite dry with a mild peppery note. An outstanding Kolsh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler filled at the brewpub and consumed later the same day. Interesting that this is a Kölsch, I don’t know if that would have been my first guess. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate white head that lasted through the first third of the glass and left a nice network of lace. Pleasant aroma of lemon and orange with a bit of wheat and spice has me thinking more of a Wit than a Kölsch. The flavor is somewhat crackery malt that dries out towards the finish along with some mild-moderate hops bitterness. The flavor is more reminiscent of a Pils than a Kölsch. Overall, I found this to be an intriguing and enjoyable beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pale golden pour. Thin white head. The nose is quite minerally and a little bit citrusy. There is a touch of wheatiness and some soft spiciness as well. Base malts are fairly crackery with a distinct UK feel. Lightly bready with a soft lightly spicy hoppiness. It’s not super complicated, but it is quite a tasty golden ale.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at the brewpub. Aroma of grassy, earthy hops, lots of lemon, mildly toasted grains. Flavor a very nice balance between cracker and bread malt notes and the relatively assertive (for the style, nothing absurd here certainly) hopping. A picture of crispness and refreshment but pretty complex too. Really very nice, and I also didn’t find it particularly similar to the pils as others have said, though I do greatly enjoy both. I also feel compelled to implore everybody to please note that austinpowers’ rating is from 4 years ago and is no indication of the quality of the beer or the atmosphere at the brewpub currently.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Decent overall. The aroma is grassy, malty, grainy, a little sweet. The appearance is a hazy, partly tranlucent yellow, white head. The flavor, like the aroma, is grainy ,malts, grass, some light fruityness. Better than expected. The finish is a light bittering from simple noble hops. The mouthfeel is medium, thicker and creamier than expected. Not bad at all. Easy drinking on a summer day.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy dirty yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of sweat wheaty/grainy malt with light fruits. Flavor of sweet malt and some bitterness in the finish. This is fairly bland, but it is easy drinking. Similar to the pilsener, but it’s not as light and crisp. Good kolsch.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ brewpub poured into a tall mug with a large frothy head. Color is dark yellow, clear beer with visible carbonation. The head turns into a surface covering lacing. Aroma is actually medium-strong with sharp lemon, a very German floralness, and a clean spring earth-y maltiness. Taste is light with lemon zingy flavor, a general sharpness of flavors. Lively mouthfeel, adds to the refreshing aspect of the beer. Leaves a spring-earthy, floral aftertaste. Very quaffable and not as boring as one would think.
