Draft at a local. Pours a thin white short duration head with a bit of lacing, over a slightly hazy, dark yellow (SRM 4) body....nose is spice including hints of clove, pepper, coriander, allspice, clove.....taste is light malts, biscuit, ending with spices which include allspice, slight clove, coriander and a hint of sweetness...mouth feel medium, carbonation high. Let this warm for fullest aroma and flavor. This is a fairly typical Saison, meeting the style quite nicely. It has malt, yeast characteristics that are quite nice. BJCP 7/3/13/4/7

Pour on tap in Foco at Mayor of Old Town, pour is hazy orange with white head. Aroma brought notes of biscuit, pepper, hints of fruity esters, slight other peppery spices, touch of earthy notes in there as well with grass in there. Taste is a mix of caramel, biscuit, some slight pepper, fruity esters and earthy grass, finishes fairly dry and slightly sweet, the fruit comes out fairly well. Fairly nice!

Tap @ The Mayor Foco. Hazy, golden appearance with a fluffy white head. Black peppery, spicy yeasty, lemon-orange citrusy aroma. Bready, spicy, property yeasty, orange citrusy, coriander, dry, belgian golden ale flavor with a dry, almost vinous finish.. Not bad!

Draft @ taproom. Warm dark gold. Aroma is spicy, herbal, and weird with some tang and coriander seeds. Flavors are mellow white pepper, not black as expected. Soft palate. Nice yeast character. Malts add good body and sweetness

Straw. Big perfumey yeast character. Slightly spicy, floral and a bit sticky. Doesn’t come together particularly well.

On tap during 2011 Great COntenders. Hazy light gold. Aroma had funky barnyard aroma with some herbal spicy tone. Bright funky flavor of peppercorn, yeast, pale malt, and general saison spice. A little too average I guess.
