Tap at Wynkoop - apparently brewed with honey and it shows - hazy gold - nose is quite nice, with light earthiness and flowers from the honey, dusty yeast and strong herbs (primarily mint and sage) - moderate carbonation, light in the mouth - flavor has a fairly strong honey sweetness to it that subdues some of the other characteristics of the beer, especially the character imparted by the yeast (earthiness, phenols) - what does cut through is some wheat character and strong sage, mint and bitter herbs - lose the honey, because there is a great saison hiding in there.

(draft 10/7/10). Cloudy gold color. Small white head. Moderate fruity ester aroma. Flavor of the same, with moderate sweet malt. Avg duration. Light dry, light alcohol finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Spare lacing.

Draft at a local. Pours a thin, short lived head, over a cloudy yellow (SRM 3) body....nose is heavy banana, bubblegum, lighter spice with clove, allspice, bit of floral honey...taste is banana, bubblegum, with clove and cardamom, then a bit of floral on the finish....mouth feel is medium, slightly sticky, carbonation low. Let this warm to cellar temperature to allow it to open up. This is a very fruity, spicy Belgian style ale, with many layers of both aroma and flavor. it is not quite the typical Belgian Blonde because of the huge aromas and flavors.BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

On tap at Wynkoop poured a clear gold with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of straw, earthiness, light citrus and light honey. Palate was mediumbodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, earthiness, honey and light fruittiness with a smooth fruity finish.

Tap @ Wynkoop. A bit hazy yellow-orange appearance. Slightly yeasty, slightly wild Belgian aroma. Wild, yeasty and very tasty Belgian Blonde/Saison flavor. Some of the wild Belgian flavor on the finish. Great beer.
