A rich golden ale, with a combination of goldings and pilgrim hops that provide a citrus aroma, with a bitter after taste.

Cask, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are biscuit and wheat with apple and lemon. Grassy with low pine and jammy apricot. Some light tropical fruit. Flavours are sweet citrus and tropical fruit with jam. Lightly nutty with clean, crisp hops, leafy and blackberry notes and a dry, peppery finish. Nice.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with very slight head. Fruity, malty beer a touch of tartness, a little flabby in character. Late fruity sweetness. Not in the best of condition unfortunately.

Cask by handpump at Cavens Arms, Dumfries - clear pale yellow ale, thin bubbly white head, lightly hopped, mild citrus flavour, medium body, moderate carbonation, very easy to drink

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton 29/06/12. A blonde beer with a whitish head and lacing. A lovely strong fruity bitter. Well hopped. An excellent depth of flavour. Fruits are light; hints of sweetness but not imposing. Malts are pale and balance well. Very tasty, warming and moreish.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a dark golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma of Weetabix malt, caramel and yeast. A little sweet with similar flavours, mild bitterness and lingering alcohol and grass. Mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.

Cask, handpump The Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford 14.05.12 Mid gold with a white head, looks stunning. Tiny bit of cabbage on nose, taste is bitter with malty undercurrent of malts. Citrus with pithiness. A6 A5 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5
