Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, day 3 on 2 December 2010. Dark red colour. An unusual strong bitter in that there was some powdery cocoa and a twist of licorice to go along with the nutty malt and earthy hops. Dry and roasty on the palate. Good stuff with plenty of interest.

20th October 2010. On tap at the Rake.
Clear dark red brown beer. Tidy light tan head. Softish palate. Low carbonation, a little dry. Tangy fruit, some orange marmalade with hints of peach and banana. Nuttyish malt. All pretty well joined up. Finishes semi dry. Decent enough.
