COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Occasional;
Star Gazer is the latest brew to emerge from the Black Hole. Its deep golden colour is achieved with a combination of pale crystal and caramalts, whilst a floral balanced bitterness comes from a combination of Slovenian and American hop varieties.

Handpulled cask at JDW Northampton. Amber/gold with a good white head. Well balanced with fresh citrus hops. Decent.

Cask conditioned at The royal Blenheim, Oxford. Orange gold with white head. Quite a sharp bitter note initially, but this is mainly a carrier for fresh, perfumey hops, quite lemony with hints of grapefruit. Very pleasant.

Cask gravity, Nottingham 09. Subsiding billow of white over bright orange amber, lacy specks all the way. Shit these beers are in top condition, and expertly delivered. Stewed Darjeeling with caramel snout, musky green chlorophyll notes. Orange soapy hop, vanilla, alfresco shivers, tea and Hobnob. Not quite the outrageous balance of Silverback and Alchemist, but still discreetly lovely.

Cask Handpump at the Brunswick Inn, Derby 11/07/2008 Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and floral with a little bitterness. Crisp and slightly creamy on the palate with a lasting malt finish.

On gravity at the Mermaid, St Albans 15/02/09. Golden verging on amber with a moderate, off-white head. Easy drinking with some sweet malts, grassy hops and a decent bitter finish. Ok.
