Sampled at the Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Poured a dark brown with a one finger tan head. Aroma of chocolate and nuts. Flavor is nutty, with a good amount of bitter chocolate and a nice hoppy finish. Slightly light body, with good carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Really impressed with this beer.

Sampled at the 2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam. Brown in the glass with a creamy tan head that leaves some lasting and good lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel and nut. The flavor has caramel, chocolate, nut and a light roasty background. Light to medium body. Enjoyable.

2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam. Pours very dark brown with big khaki head. The aroma is big, creamy caramel with a little bit of chocolate and nuttiness. Flavor is sweet milk chocolate with some planty hops. Reasonable beer.

This is an ale and its brown. So far, so good. Aroma is a mix of chestnuts and hops. More nutty than hoppy in the flavor. Also rather bready and tosty. Not ba, actually. Sampled at the2008 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam

Brewer’s Jam. Yep, this is brown. I was delighted to find strong coffee suggestions in the aroma. This isn’t one of those overly sweet browns. Hints of toffee, chocolate, and nutshells are also present. The flavor doesn’t quite live up to the aroma, but it’s still decent. I get hints of roasty coffee, nuts, biscuits, and chocolate. Something seems a little gummy which is the only downer. This is pretty adept for the style.
