COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied, sharp tasting. Not too much aftertaste.

Pale gold colour with a slight white head. Honey, grass, and sour aromas. Sugary sweet and toasted cereal tastes up front, with a bland and dry finish.

My Newfie friends know how to party, and when they do, black horse is absent. I get strong adjunct and very modest malt or hop flavors. If you have to drink this stuff, serve it ice cold -the flavors that are there can safely be missed. Better yet, party like the Newfies and drink rum.

Just your run of the mill lager, only weaker. I had this baby from a can on the ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. Perhaps the sea influenced my opinion. Definately drinkable.

A typical party beer, gave me the runs, won’t drink anymore.

As an ex-pat Newfoundlander, this shines in my memory more than in the glass. My recent Black Horse was poured from a can, so points off right there for can-like taste. Aroma: Better than macro. Looks generic, perhaps a little darker. Taste is more interesting than macro, but you can tell this is a Molson brew. Not bad, but nowhere near the sentimental rating I want to give it.

Typical molson product - your standard american/canadian pilsner, bland, cold and inofensive. It’s availble all over newfoundland and if you want beer while you’re there, you’ll probably be drinking it with a wonderful newfoundlander or two to share good times. This beer reminds me of those good times.

Everything that is bad about beer. I could not finish it. Newfoundland has a local microbrewery that make great beer so avoid Black Horse.
