COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied, sharp tasting. Not too much aftertaste.

A very bland macro lager overall. I wish I could rate it higher for sentimental reasons but I simply can’t do it. It lacked any personality and the taste was slightly bitter. It had a light body, thin texture and was too fizzy for me, and I like a good amount of carbonation typically. The finish was abrupt. Disappointing, unfortunately.

Bottle. Light golden colour with a small diminishing white head. There is more in this beer than most Canadian macro lagers. But that still does not make it a great beer. Average at best.

Great, easy drinking beer. I have only had it in Newfoundland so I will drink it anytime I’m having cod cheeks again.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2004 I tried this beer when I visited Trout River. I liked it,but then who can not like anything from Newfoundland? Goes well with moose meat.

A typical party beer, gave me the runs, won’t drink anymore.

Everything that is bad about beer. I could not finish it. Newfoundland has a local microbrewery that make great beer so avoid Black Horse.
