Not the Black Horse Ale that I remember drinking as a teenager! Now a lager, with much of the bitterness and body stripped away. Just a mainstream Canadian brew.

A real macro lager. Pale fizzy yellow. A bit of dot lace on a huge white head of malt foam. Horrible smell, wafting throughout office like I was a homeless person. I may have to toss this glass. Dry lower than average mouthfeel. Corny taste. Dry aftertaste. Four ounces was enough to drink. Thanks though anyways Mark for the beers from Newfoundland.

Thanks to my sister for this beer. Pours a pale sparkling gold, leaving behind a white fizz with some lace. Faint fruity nose with some grainy/bread and pale malts. Breads and grains in the flavour profile with a slight infusion of hops and fruit. Not all that great, but decent for a macro pale. Decent slightly bitter lingering finish.

Black Arse. Yum! Pale golden, fizzy, corn. Flavor is corny liquor with a tinge of bitterness. Gassy, but very drinkable from the can in a Zodiac fishing on the Churchill river in Labrador.

Blah. Some rotten malt flavors. This is not really drinkable. It should have stayed in Canada.

Brother brought it back from Newfoundland for me, so I gotta give it an extra point or two for sentimental reasons. Very little nose, appearance, pour, head all like every other bland lager. Taste, well... what little is there isn’t *horrible* but still lacks even the most basic qualities that make it a beer. I wish I could say more, but well, there’s not much else to say. Blegh.
