Belgian yeast really comes through in the aroma, mango marmalade, pears, and a little communion wafer waft to your nose, one of those big Belgian rocky heads, like you get in the Chimays or Delerium brews, flavor is previously mentioned fruits ,also some pineapple, melon rind,a hint of mint,,and a hint of orange rind bitterness, with bready malt mellowing it all out in the finish. Exquisite lacing,a little on the lighter side, this is what Black Husky does, all the complexity of flavor jammed in a lighter non syrupy body, making it very drinkable, almost thirst quenching, yet rich enough to contemplate and evaluate. Another great brew from a hidden northern Wisconsin treasure

Received 22-oz bomber via trade with esjaygee. Pours a semi-hazy golden straw colored brew with a decent sized white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some excellent lacing. Aroma of tart pear, a hint of Belgian yeast, some light clove, golden grain malt, and a hint of lemon. Taste is medium to full bodied, soft carbonation with a slight tart pear and golden grain malt. Additional flavors of tropical fruit, citrus zest and a hint of white bread. Finish is slightly tart, with a Belgian yeast and pear aftertaste. A solid tripel with a nice tart finish.

Bottle shared by motortoddhead. Straw colored with light haze. Clean lemon citrus and belgian yeast esters with slight acidic/tart twang. Citrus, pale malt, herbalish/rustic hops. Ultra-clean with lightly acidic, semi-dry finish. Extremely well-attenuated. One of the easiest drinking, well-profiled tripels I’ve ever had. Kudos.
