Tasted this in Bruadar, Glasgow in March 2012. Cask, draught flow. Clear amber in colour with a thin white head. Short biscuit malt and cereal in the quick nose. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a fiery digestive biscuit note with caramel. Bitter hop resins give a dry grassy flavour to the short aftertaste. Hops are again present in the short bitter finish. An ok session bitter

[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Pours a very attractive copperish red, with a good head from the pour. Malty aroma with a good caramel edge to it – the balance is really good. Very easy to drink, the solid malt backbone leads from toffee sweetness into a dry finish – we had a lot of crazy beer at the Black Isle takeover that night, but this might have been my favourite [09112011]

Cask at Bennets Bar. Pours a nice red - orange colour with a thick beige head. Aroma of treacle, caramel and fruity hops. Flavours of yeast, caramel and some citrus, mainly orange. Mild dry finish, very drinkable. Not bad.
