We are pretty sure this is a world first This is a 100% organic Scottish beer aged in 100% organic Scottish whisky casks. The base beer was our new 7.4% Black Stout and the whisky casks were provided very kindly by the excellent and innovative Bruichladdich distillery on Islay This is a one off beer, made in a very small batch, and all bottles are individually numbered. This beer will age extremely well, so don’t worry if you forget about it for a while.

Bottle - Dark fruit, scotch whisky notes and some sweet notes. Jet black with a bubbly brown head. Dark fruit and barrel notes with hints of peat and bitterness. Dry and bitter finish. Little of the smoke or peat that is normal for Islay.

2012-05-10 Mycket malt- och melassartad, men något svag doft. Lätt syrlig och ton av lakrits, vanilj, fat. Genomträngande svart. Drar aning åt buteljgrönt i hällningen.

Poured deep dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roast malt, dark chocolate and some coffee grinds. Full body, flavour much as the aroma, quite peaty. Surprisingly good.

Bottle @ Deans Winter Shelter Tasting, courtesy of dEnk. Pours a pitch black beer with a thicky, pillowy beige head on top. Aroma is very peaty, smokey and has a lot of Islay influences. Flavor is rather sweet with whisky notes and again peat returining in the aftertaste. Some bitter influences are also there, making this a complex and well balanced beer. Awesome!
