Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, brown, mostly lasting. Body is opaque black (flashlight tested). Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain), with notes of raw wood, whisky, vanilla. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Rather plain and non-Imperial...just kind of a strong-ish dry stout. Nothing wrong with it, just boring. Awesome appearance though...opaque and very nicely lasting head.
