A true pale ale. The full body and rich gold colour comes from a blend of wheat, pale ale and crystal malts. It’s floral and lime citrus nose is created by the extensive use of carefully selected New World aroma hops. The final stage of dry hopping then produces a rich berry flavour for a big refreshing, satisfying brew.

Medium offwhite head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Deep caramelly malty aroma with strawy earthy funky notes, with traces of peas. Dry-sweet earthy caramelly taste with pea notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry earthy peas aftertaste with strawy smoky caramelly notes. Nice, but a bit bland in the taste. (0.33l bottle, Systembolaget, Nordstan, Göteborg.)

Crunchy nut cornflake nose, steeped caramel body with a lasting slight white head. Clean hoppy slalom on the palate with a hungry finish. The big difference from the organic larger is a spicey slight nutmeg tickle. A very moreish beer on all counts. (Keg, Nobles, Edinburgh)

Cask at Nobles. Golden amber. Light hops, light malt. It’s triumph is its lack of character.

330 ml bottle. From Malmö, Sweden.
Clear amber colour with small white head. Caramel malt sweetness, floral and fruity hops, rosebuds and mild bitterness in aroma. Bitterish floral hops and malt in flavour. OK Pale Ale. Aftertaste is more malty than hoppy even though there’s hoppiness in flavour. And it’s organic. Good.

Bottle from the Black Isle Brewery
Golden orange....clear...minimal white bubbly head
Aroma of hay... dry grassy hops....some spicy hops....golden malts
Taste of sweetish golden malts...grassy hay hops....some nutty tasting hops.....bit of light citrus hops underneath...lots of flavour here
Palate - Medium carb....texture a bit oily. Finish as main flavour with a lingering nutty-like grassy hop hay bitterness.
Overall - I think this beer is more hoppy than when I tried it a couple of years ago where there was more orangey sweet malts (as I remember). Should have tried it on keg when I was at the York Tap - I reckon it will be better.

Bottle 33 cl, tnx to Örjan. Pours clear maber with an off white head leaving small lacing. Aroma is very nice, malty, grassy, floral, hoppy, soapy a bit sweet and some caramel. Flavor much like aroma, very pleasant to drink, slightly acidy, nice bitterness and has some metallic taste, too. Finishes bitter and malty.

330 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on January 21. Pours amber with a small off-white head that leaves some trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is subtle, slightly sweet and fruity with grapefruit, lemon zest and mango. Taste is slightly sweet and refreshing with citrus fruits, some tropical fruits, caramel and bread. Finish is lightly sweet and slightly bitter with hints of grass and pine.
