A true pale ale. The full body and rich gold colour comes from a blend of wheat, pale ale and crystal malts. It’s floral and lime citrus nose is created by the extensive use of carefully selected New World aroma hops. The final stage of dry hopping then produces a rich berry flavour for a big refreshing, satisfying brew.

33cl bottle from M&S, Camberley. A bright amber pour with a ring of white head; grainy aroma with some red berries and lime juice; bready taste with a touch of rye; then a long spicy bitterness and some red fruit to finish.

Bottle. Deep fruity nose, overripe citrus fruit, lime and rind, with a full complement of yeast behind it all. Light copper color, with a 1cm light tan head and some lace. Ripe peachy initial, some thin phenolic notes (in flavor but not nose) intrude, orange marmalade with chewy rind, and decent back-end bittering with long tracks. Thin-medium body. Interesting, quite fruity. The smoke or phenolic thing does not really detract so much here,
