Great lookin', Cola, cherry, and cocoa smelling, sweet berry and Coke tasting, son of a beer. However, The honey flavor is too much for me.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a dense, off-white head that lasts. Rather butterscotchy aroma with some fruityness. Some pale malts. The flavor has some bready notes, with caramel and a pleasant hoppy fruityness. Some bitterness too, lasting for a good while, keeping the malty sweetness company. Full body, very soft on carbonation, and it feels quite dry. Not much pleasant aroma in this one, but the flavor is quite nice. 140418

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear coppery-orange beer with frothy off-white head leaving lacing. Aroma has wood, citrusy and tropical fruits and toffee sweetness. Kind of an English-American mix. Flavor is resiny and piney woody, caramelly sweet and a bit salty. Mild amount of bitterness on the finish leading into a salty and caramelly sweet aftertaste. Palate is medium full and medium carbonated. A nice pale ale that falls somewhere between an English Pale Ale and an American Amber Ale, with the easy drinkability of a Golden Ale. As the beer warms up the Amber Aleish caramel-pine needle-combination gets stronger. Bonus point for being organic.
