Roasted malts, hedgerow fruit, espresso and liquorice. Big, black and wholesome; This is beer with soul! Naturally bottle conditioned it is secondary fermented in the bottle in a similar way to the production of champagne. This beer is made from 4 pure organic ingredients, malted barley, water, hops and yeast. It is full of vitamin B and good for you.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2015 500 ml bottle with a BB date of 9-2015. "Hibernator" is not on the label but the ABV is listed as 7%. Pours black with some faint highlights at the edges. Decent, semi-durable head. Complex and flavorful for style. One of the better oatmeal stouts I’ve ever had.

Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours near black with an attractive tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a smooth medium-bodied roasted malt flavor with chocolate, coffee and an anise finish. Goes down easy.

15.8.2014. Bottle. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts. Taste is also roasty, coffeeish, malty.

Bottle as a gift from Helsinki. BB 09 2016. Dark brown, near black in colour. Head’s beige with good retention and little lacing. Roastiness and chocolate on the nose is supplemented by late summer berries, Labrador tea and faint piquant hops, also dust and ash. Tastes of bitter chocolate with berries, loads of roast, and blackberry-like acidity or sourness. Body medium, carbonation way below average, mouthfeel soft. Damn, I’d love to have this with a basket full of blackberries, bilberries and cranberries, preferably sitting in a lounge chair in an Estonian bog minus the gnats. This beer evokes some nice memories. Not at all what I expected, not at all among the ballsier Imperial Stouts, but still very-very enjoyable!

Small bottle from our lovely monopoly. Black colour with small brown head which diminishes quickly. Nose has caramel, toffee and some coffee notes. with mild dark fruity notes. Taste has coffee, caramel, toffee, some sweet liquorice and some burnt sugary notes at the end.

A little bit on the light side for an imperial stout but I’m not complaining. Well done traditional stout with a strong malt and delicious coffee notes.

Bottle, courtesy of TM, 27/11/14. Pours black with a decent, latte-colored head. Aroma is quite a lot of oat and roast, some coffee. Taste is somewhat roasty, quite a lot of dry coffee. Dry. Fairly light, no imperial stout-like qualities here really.

330ml bottle: BBD end of 09-2016. Poured into a Gordons thistle shaped glass at home 11-2014. Jet black with a full, lasting beige head, good lacing. The nose was malty with some chocolate, liquorice, vanilla, coffee notes all bundled together. The taste was semi-sweet initially, with the same flavours the aroma suggested, mid-sip it became a little tartier, with dark berry like hints coming through the sweetness. Full bodied and interesting.
