3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2014 Black beer with a big beige head leaving lacing on the glass. Aroma has chocolate, loafy and roasted malts and coffee. Taste is loafy and roasted to burned malty with coffee on the side. Mouthfeel is pretty thick with medium carbonation. Finish is pretty long with moderate bitterness. Good stout, not very "imperial" though, but one bonus point for being organic.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ altea mädchen Hamburg. Picked this for a milestone. Schiuma beige scuro, fine e poco persistente.

Roasty dark malty aroma has hints of chocolate, cold coffee, liquorice, a fruity touch of red berries. Taste is initially moderately sweet dark malty, hints of coffee, chocolate, later more dry and salty with a touch of liquorice. Light, easy drinkable, tasty (Impy?) Stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
coffee, nuts, roasty, black, minimal head, medium bitterness, light sweetness, medium body, creamy. Strong nutty coffee aroma. Immediate bitterness upon tasting, but the sweetness lingers. Seems to improve as you drink it. Surprised by this.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
330ml bottle, very dark brown colour (crude oil level), small brown mostly diminishing head, average lacing. Aroma of coffee, oats, licorice, broth and raisin. Taste is initially sweet and a bit acidic turning into a moderate to strong bitter finish. Very full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice stout indeed, another one of the styles I’ve been meaning to delve further into for a few years already.

the initial taste is sharp and bitter, but the aftertaste has a hint of the nice, almost chocolate, smooth taste.
