Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours a clear reddish amber with an off-white head. Tofeeish aroma, somewhat nutty. Solid body, burned caramel and toffee accents with a slight yeastiness. Perhaps a whiff of smoke too. No teal bitterness but ends on a nutty note. Clearly has a British character. 031212

Bottle from The Bottle Shop in Canterbury. Like so many beers, the scandanavians seem to have drunk them all, but I’ve never seen this or even heard on it here in the UK. Now I am eating curry so this may colour my thoughts on this beer. Dark beer with thick beige head. Yes not a bad marzen. More like a darkish ale than a marzen to be honest. Some spicyness or is that the curry. Nice enough beer, quite a good mouthfeel, decent fullness. Some syrupy malt but it’s held in check. Decent.

Bottle. It’s a clear, amber beer topped by a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma has a pleasant hoppyness, with pine cones and some citrus. Pleasant maltyness too, with some caramel. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, stretching out for a long time. Caramel maltyness and some bready hints. Medium body, quite dry. Lasting finish. A tasteful and pleasant beer I wouldn’t mind drinking again. 121110
