2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Just bit hazy golden beer with bit sparkling and big, white , frothy head that is medium long. Aroma has bit bread and fruity hoppiness, grain. Medium body, bit watery palate, soft carbonation, grainy flavor is sweet, grainy finish is long. Bit plain and too simple for my taste.

This one simply looks too pale! It’s hazy, very pale golden with a white head, ok lacing. Moderate aroma with pale malts, citrus, sweet fruits and in the back some faint but lightly disturbing notes of buttery cooked corn. Boring stuff. The taste has some sweetness, a touch of acidity and a light to moderate bitter finish. Floral hoppy flavours with citrus and some honey and maltiness in the back, quite clean without the disturbing elements I get in the aroma. The best thing about this beer is the mouthfeel, it’s crisp, drinkable and more-ish, with a medium body, dry texture and quite lively carbonation.

500ml bottle shared at home. Pours clear light yellow with a thin white head, low carbonation for the style, the head doesn’t hang around. Grassy and biscuit aromas, perhaps white grapes. Classic ’Lager’ aftertaste, something vegetal. Decent bitterness, decent enough beer.

Pours a straw yellow, clear colour with a white head. Aroma of grass, pine and acctually some licorice notes at the end. Flavour is peach, grass, honey and some very light touches of anis. Really refhreshing taste to it like the other Black Isle beers I’ve had. Smooth carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall a very good blonde.
