3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 DrouthyNeebor (10) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 12, 2012
Aroma of fresh cut grass and distinct caramel. Beautiful straw gold with lasting thin white head. Generous lacing.
At first sweetish then the complexity develops.
Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel with average carbonation and a very long lasting delicious bitter finish.
Superb lager and one of my current favorites (and it has the kudos of being organic too!)
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 shrubber85 (5972) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 22, 2010
Bottle. Honey, berry, bready malt and hay hops aroma. Golden yellow color with nice off-white head. Sweet honey/berry malt and moderately bitter grass hops flavor. Very nice.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (6110) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2010
Bottle. Fresh grassy aroma with thistle and lime; shortbread beneath, honey, that shrub down the bottom of the garden. Really excellent fresh grassy hop on honeyed baked bread; hands that do dishes, shrubbiness; aftertaste of vanilla and unsalted peanuts. Pure gold with a tall uneven head going nowhere. Not the first bottled effort from this brewery to seriously impress. Totally hits the spot
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 leaparsons (7069) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2003
Cloudy yellow (my choice) this has a fresh, grassy, cirtus aroma. Light biscuity malts are present with a refreshing acidicy. A good lager - from Scotland and better than Schiehalliion. And its organic (if you care).
