500 ml bottle from my friend in Aberdeen; BB 11 09. Label says 5% ABV. Nose is grassy hops and some earthy grains and light yeast. Clear pale gold with a big, lightly lacing, long lasting, yellow tinged head. Flavor is lightly bitter with lots of cereal graininess. One of th e tastiest pale lagers I have had, of course most have been American. Could drink this one anytime.

Bottle. Classic lager appearance, This is at the top end of pale lagers - credit to Black isle for making a good beer in what is generally a poor style.

Bottle. Light golden, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty - lightly grainy and sweetish aroma, some floral fruitiness and light toffee, light grassy - herbal hoppyness. Medium, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish flavor, light floral fruitiness, light toffee and light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light fruitiness and light toffee, light grassy - herbal hoppyness. OK fruity lager with herbal hoppyness - could be drier (and have less toffee).
