Bottle from Craig by way of trade at DLD 09.Served at cellar temp. Dark black pour with a light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, oats, chocolate and a slight sweetness. Very smooth tasting, sweet, creamy, roastd malt, all around well balanced taste. Nice lacing on the glass. Nice mouthfeel. Would love to meet up with this beer again.

Clear but very dark red-brown beer. Thin tan head. Crispy dry palate. Surprisingly tart. Not getting any oatmeal smoothness. Very lightly smoked malt. Tangy cola. Too tangy for me - was expecting something much smoother.

In bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin light tan head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate and yeast. A little sour with some lemon and grapefruit. Nice roasted barley and chocolate finish. Mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.

Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a totally black hue with a small white head. The aroma is salty, sour, roasted malts. Chocolate, roasted malts, smooth, some sourness, sweet vanilla. Enjoyable.

Very nice black body with medium, lasting tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Tasted of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Pretty sweet for a stout, except in the finish, which was bitter. No big alcoholic kick despite its strength. Full bodied.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A hazy, reddish brown beer topped by a beige head. Roasted nose with some chocolate and alcohol, and notes of coffee. The flavor is pretty much the same, ending with a coffee-like bitterness. Medium to full body. Overall, a nice beer, but there’s too much alcohol evident, even for an imp stout. 091024

Bonus from cvarieuk, opened at PP bottle shop. Thanks Craig! Dry and a little sour. Mellowed flavor, maybe from age or oxidation. Some buttery aroma. Thinnish. Probably not the way it is supposed to taste, but I find the light sourness pretty good and interesting.
