We are rather pleased with our new strong russet red ale. It has a nutty aroma and a rich malty palate.

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting @ the Harlequin. Cloudy orange, medium white head. Toffee nose, with some nutty notes and caramel. Sweet malty taste with caramel and fruity notes. Lightly dry finish with some bitterness.

[bottle @ RBESG 2009, Grand Tasting] Slightly sugary aroma with some citrus, herbal hops, and a little toffee. Hazy copper with a thick, beige cover. Smooth toffee flavour with gentle floral and herbal hops. Sweet and with a banana note. Slightly warming, moderate carbonation, smooth finish.

Bottle at home ... Really thought id missed this one... but found it in the Cupboard ... copper ... bubbly off white head ... sweet fruit vineous nose ... light smokey ... little woody ... even a little creamy ... very nutty ... decent enough
