Very nice - roasty, dry, fat cream head, some chestnut type aroma, some blackcurrant lozenge, bitterness, bust still cool and refreshing. Deep brown/black with a hiunt of ruby red.

Cask at Bow Bar, Edinburgh. Dark black colour, not a lot of aroma, but some nice roasted malts, taste is quite sweet, malty, dark chocolate. Solid porter.

Cask. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee. Taste, roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, dark fruits syrup. Dry, roasty, coffee bitter finish. Tasty. Went well with fruit cake.

Bottle at home. The colour is deep and dark reddish brown colour with a medium light beige head. Roasted aroma with nuts, coffee, wood, roasted almonds and leather. The flavour follows with a nice roasted touch, but is also sweet with some caramel. Has a slick and light mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A well-balanced and easy-drinking porter.

Bottle@Home. Not much aroma, just some coffee. Dark brown, off-white head, good lace. Coffee, roasted, light sweet, light bitter. Dry, flat. Drinkable but nothing special.

Bottle from Matkroken Natland, Bergen. Pours a deep ruby-hued near-black body with a small off-white head. Nose is a huge dose of filter coffee and some dark chocolate and cocoa in the back. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, grains and hints of licorice in the back. Watery texture, soft carbonation. Pretty run-of-the-mill low-strength porter.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly watery and neutral, roasted dark malts, coffee, caramel, hay, cocoa, licorice. Taste is ashes, burnt grain, coffee, burnt caramel, grass, hay. Medium bitterness. Next please!

The head is ok, the body black. It smells mild, darkmalty, roasty. The taste is a bit roasty, less hoppy, sweet-malty, darkmalty. Nice and easy drinkable Porter. 12/11/12/11/11/11
