ClubGonzo (2764) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 17, 2013
Bottle from Matkroken Natland, Bergen. Pours a deep ruby-hued near-black body with a small off-white head. Nose is a huge dose of filter coffee and some dark chocolate and cocoa in the back. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, grains and hints of licorice in the back. Watery texture, soft carbonation. Pretty run-of-the-mill low-strength porter.

Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2006
BCA (from Bitter Virtue, BBE Sep 06). Smoky roast and baked beens. Ashy smoke dominates the body. Fairly drinkable with food but not great.

The head is ok, the body black. It smells mild, darkmalty, roasty. The taste is a bit roasty, less hoppy, sweet-malty, darkmalty. Nice and easy drinkable Porter. 12/11/12/11/11/11

LCRBM: Brown colored with a small layer of a egg shell white head. Beautiful and intense roasted malt nose. But suprisingly weak in taste - almost with a watery finish. Malt and coffee but as said, weak and thin.

Bottled. Approaching black in colour with a friendly beige head that shared the experience with me. Roasted malt and mocha aromas that only got more complex the more the beer warmed. Liquorice and bitter chocolate. Good bitter structure, providing good length for the complex roasted malts to ride upon and impress.

JohnRMurdoch (2307) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - AUG 3, 2011
Bottle from Appellation Wines. Sour, grassy coffee malt aroma. Very dark brown colour, not much head. Smooth chocolate coffee malt flavour. Sweet aftertaste. Drinkable but not a great porter.

JanLaursen (2219) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2012
Tap at Red quireel, Edinburgh. Very dark brown one with a frothy, but quickly diminishing beige head. Aroma of chocolate, sweet roasted malt, light smokey notes plus a bit of tar. Taste is sweet roast with licorice-notes and a malty bitter finish. Medium-bodied, liggt oily texture, low in carbonation. Impressively flavorful for the abv.
