Keg at the Draft House Tower Bridge. Poured black-brown and very creamy with a big nitro-type head that took quite a while to settle. Some choc on the nose, initially smooth on the palate but then with a little red fruit sweetness and some dry roasty mocha coming through. Slightly sweet and tart on the finish.

This beer was quite a suprising little number.
The other Black Isle beers we have in are lovely little cheeky session beers that are rewarding with little challenge to any drinker. The Organic Porter on the other hand, hides a little secret behind it’s sleek black look.
Coming in at a respectable 4.6%, I was suprised at the big body flavour of this beer! It’s smooth and subtle on the mouth, but has a big big flavour that just creeps in unexpectedly and makes you take a little longer to savour the crispness of this pleasant little number.
Nice carbonation, lovely dark shine, and a robust flavour make this a great beer to pop into your choices for the night!
Another win for the Black Isle team.
And just found out they have done a coffee porter before, so gonna keep an eye out for that one! :)

Keg. Pours dark brown with a good sized beige head. Bitter coffee aroma. Roast, coffee and chocolate flavour that is nicely balanced. I’m happy this has started the replace guinness in some ediburgh pubs.
