3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is an exceptionally good session beer--really one if the best I've ever had. It's packed with hops flavor without having to rely simply on bitterness to mask what can often be a lack of maltiness in low- gravity beers as this beer has a nice balance providing a full flavored drinking experience without relying on a huge grain bill.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle in a restaurant/wine bar, Church st, Inverness. Dark browny orange pour with an off white head. Malty nose with some vague fruity notes. Similarly uninspiring flavour that is just about redeemed by a little hop presence. Really nothing special though.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Amber, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and berry fruitiness, faint hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, caramel and berry fruitiness, light bread and light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some caramel and light berry fruitiness, light bread and light herbal hoppyness. Bit watery bitter with notes of bread. Berry fruitiness with caramel just do not work for me.

Does not taste very "amber" I think, still very good and balanced ale. Easy but interesting.

Sweet toasted malt aroma, breadd, slightly smoky, hints of nuts (walnut, hazelnut), slightly fruity, floral, citrus, herbs, clear dark amber to copper color, rocky off-white head, disappears quickly, some lacing, mild sweetbitter taste, fruity undertones (apricot, plum), medium body, thick feel, average carbonation, crisp well-balanced sweetbitter finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a firm and slightly tanned foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel and walnuts, accompanied by a berry-fruity and slightly citric touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mildly toasted malty taste with caramel, bready and nutty notes, also rather subtle fruity accents; sweet-bitter toast-malty finish with a balanced herbal hoppy touch. Nice. 23.VIII.13
