50cl bottle from Tesco, Cannonmills, Edinburgh. A deep straw coloured pour with a dense white head and moderate carbonation; grainy citrus aroma; the taste is exactly as described - lots of grapefruit, but rather than lots of sweet fruit there is a flinty dryness that makes for a crisp, refreshing finish. A rather grown-up and refined style of Pale Ale.

Bottled. Pours a rich gold to light amber with a loose white head. Aroma is light toffee, some citrus, and a touch of hay. Taste of bready malts, traces of caramel, balanced with a clean citrus hop bite. Medium bidy, dry finish. Decent all round brew.

The youtube on this from the brewery says it uses Pale, Crystal and Wheat malts and cascade hops. Itís the wheat I think that gives the beer such a good head retention and mouthfeel. Reminded me very much of B1 which is surprising as this used Northern Brewer and Golding. Yellow Hammer has one plenty of awards and you can taste why!

Bottle 500ml (K-Kamppi)
Golden color, some hazyness, good off-white head, lace. Aroma is grainy, light hops. Light to medium-bodied, reasonably robust for this ABV. Flavor is grainy, bready, some citrus from Cascade. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Typical grainy organic malt flavors ruin a bit of fruityness of Cascade hops.
