A golden, straw coloured bitter, brewed with Cascade hops adding a flinty, grapefruit aroma that is deliciously refreshing.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Tea and hops feature in the aroma. Sherbet, lemon and a hint of grapefruit in the taste. I was expecting it to have a bit more flavour, but it’s not bad.

50cl bottle at home. Watery amber pour with a massive mess of white foam on top. Slight nutty malt, slight grapefruit aroma. Taste is malty still, but with a healthy injection of citrus hops. Finish is medium length, rounded but with a slight bite to it. Pretty decent beer, very refreshing and surprisingly full-flavoured for the ABV. Amazing with slightly spicy Italian food!

Clear golden with a white head. Toffee and earthy malty aroma with a small but fresh dose of citrusy hops. A little thin taste though and a bit one-dimensional which makes it go a bit bland after half a bottle.

Bottle from Systembolaget but sold under the name Yellowhammer Summer Ale. Mild and easy to drink english ale. A bit boring at the end of the 50 cl but not a bad beer. Should work well both as a thirst quencher and as a beer for food.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2012 I’m told a new recipe! Lovely balance! Previous rating 7+4+7+4+16=3.8 50cl bottle. Pours an amber colour with steady bubbles and a good head. The nose has pine and some hay. The taste is of pale malt and hay and there is a pine and nettle finish. The palate has medium structure, a creamy texture and a refreshing finish. Overall, this is quite a stunning session ale.
