Bottle shared on the train from Inverness to Wick, from Tomlinsons, 20/10/13. Clear light golden with a thin white covering. Nose is citrus lead, light mineral tang, lemon zest, bitter orange, hoppy notes. Taste comprises citric zing, orange pith, toasted malts. Medium bodied, light spritz carbonation wise, dry grassy bitterness in the finish. A very decent Golden Blonde, let down by the slightl overcooked carbonation.

Bottle: Deep golden, a bit unclear, lively carbonation, stable and lacy creamy white head, moderate aroma of exotic fruits with piney traces underneath, in the background malt, bread and fruits; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied and very soft; smooth and lingering bitter-sweet fruity and malty finish. A goody…

500ml bottle from Tesco (£1.89):
Hoppy with some grapefruit and fresh, cut grass to go along with a little orange and some citrus notes. Lively and refreshing on the nose that I was expecting with some floral notes, a touch of sweetness and some biscuit too.
Clear amber with a large, thumb-sized head that is quite foamy looking and holds great.
Hoppy with the same grapefruit and bitterness from the nose along with some citrus and floral flavours. Bread & biscuit with a malty bitterness follow. English in style, bitter and with fruity undertones.
Medium bodied with a great balance between flavours and moderate carbonation. There is some sweetness initially with a semi-bitter taste.

A surprisingly hop filled and bitter taste to begin with and was followed up by a nice mix of background fruits and malts. A great beer and one I’ll pick up again no doubt.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2013 Bottle at the brewery 2009 and afterwards at home. Sweet sugary malts, roasty, floral hops, citrus zest, clear amber to orange, creamy short lived head, large bubbles, light to medium bittersweet taste, fruity touch of citrus, medium body, creamy, lightly carbonated, clean and smooth bittersweet finish. Incredible refreshing beer, well-balanced.

Bottled. Pours hazy orange in color with a foamy whitish head. Some malty notes and bit of citrus in aroma. English taste with slightly burnt grains and some butterscotch. Quite good tasting for that matter.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Citric hoppy and mildly bready cara-malty aroma. Slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a slightly harsh carbonation. Delicately bready cara-malty base with a present hops character, including citrus-fruity and floral accents; lasting finish with notes of grapefruit. Fresh summer Ale. 08.VIII.13

Nice Ale which could also be alight IPA. Some citrus, some hops but a bit thin and dull. Still very drinkable and refreshing with a lemon back. Nice one for sure.

Pours out of the bottle in a clear amber colour with low head and medium to thin body. Nose of a mouflon sheep or a wet dog. Don’t enjoy the nose at all. Taste is far better: Ripe hops, barley, malt, citrus and straw. Hints of basement. Some dull and dusty finish again. It really is nice but there are just to many unpleasant notes that I was happy when the glass was empty.

Cask in Edinburgh. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of fruity hops. Taste is moderate bitter, flowery hops, but the beer is luke warm, not a winner on a hot sunny day, still a good tasting light hoppy beer.
