Scopey (6140) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2011
Cask at the Prince of Wales, Aberdeen. It pours golden yellow, with a thin bubbly white head. The nose is strawberry, grapefruit, peach and hay. The taste is cereal, hay, grass, straw, pine, lemon and peach, with a light bitter finish. It is light bodied and has soft carbonation. An easy drinking blonde ale.

Väldigt fint nyanserad men diskret humleprofil. Med tanke på pris och alkoholhalt ett lysande öl.

Cask at caley. Spicy pine aroma mixed with malt. Spicy, peppery taste with slight citrus. Very thin watery mouthfeel. Didn’t enjoy this

500ml bottle, as Yellowhammer Summer Ale. Poirs a medium amber, with a white head. Hoppy, spicy aromas, spruce, grapefruit, cumin (!), coriander seeds. Dry, light to medium bodied, medium bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy taste, lots of citrusy hops, coriander seeds, malt, earth. Quite nice to pack this much flavour into a 4%ABV beer. It has the typical Scottish "rustique" touch, but there is a soapy hint in the hops that becomes a little too strong in the finish. (2011-08-14)

On cask. A golden ale with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and grassy hops. Flavours of caramel and yeast again with a lingering grassy hop quality. Creamy mouthfeel. Not bad.
